It's been quite a while...
It has been quite a while since I last posted.. Been very busy these past few weeks..
Anyway, just let these pictures show what I've been up to.. =)
Martin Nievera and Patti Austin's Concert...
It was a dream come true for me to be able to watch two of my favorite singers..What's even better is that we were just a few meters away from the stage.. I've always loved Martin and Patti.. Aside from his awesome rendition of his songs, what I love about Martin is his spontaneity.. There was never a dull moment during the concert.. Guess what??? He even sang OVERJOYED (which is my all time favorite) as part of his Stevie Wonder medley.. Patti was really great as well.. Her version of "It Might Be You" moved me.. Well, actually "Say You Love Me" and "In My Life" also did, but it was really the very first song the struck me most...For their finale, they sang "How Do You Keep The Music Playing" which gave them a standing ovation from the audience. It was all worth it..

It Feels Sad To Be Back...
My family just got back from a 3 day camping trip to Zion, Illinois.. At Beach Park particularly.. We were with my dad's officemates and their respective families. It was so much fun!!! I felt sad when we came home while we were there, we didn't have to wake up early.. I could wake up as late as I really wanted to, and sleep late as long as I wanted to as well.. Games kept us busy.. Volleyball, Badminton... Eventhough the water was chilly, we still managed to dip in and enjoy the waves. As usual, I slept with the Velarde's, together with Marte and Sir Pat.. My second fam... On our last day, we headed to Pleasant Prairie to do some shopping.. I got myself a new pair of Nike rubber shoes, which I'll exclusively use in the gym.. =) I got a new pair of paints and slippers as well from Gap, an orange cap from Nike, a black long-sleeved shirt from Banana Rep, a pink V-neck shirt and beach towel from Polo. Yahoo!!! When we got home, I just ate Chinese food for dinner, fixed my bed, and dozed off to sleep.. I slept from 6 pm till 6 am this morning... Whew!!!

I Totally Freaked Out... Thank God For True Friends...
This afternoon, as soon as I got off from the green line train, I decided to drop by Potbelly's and have a sandwich... I tried to call up my dad and tell him to drop by so we could go home together. But I guess he left the office at exactly 5 coz no one's answering. So I just stayed there all by myself. When I went inside, I saw a long queue of customers waiting to have their orders taken.. I was the last one inline. I opened the fridge and took a diet Coke. I tried to call up my dad again but no one really answered.. As I tried to put my phone back in my bag, I noticed that there was this man in front of me waving his phone at me. I pretended I didn't see him.. He ordered his sandwich.. I ordered mine.. I told the lady, "I'll have a wreck please.." As soon as the man heard what I said, he told the lady that he wanted the same sandwich I ordered.. As I waited for the cashier to punch in my food, the man asked me, "How old is your camera phone?" Again I didn't answer.. He was interrupted by a phone call.. I proceeded to my seat and started eating my wreck. After a few minutes, I saw this man take a seat in front of me.. I started to freak out but I didn't show it. He glanced at me quite a few times.. I started to call some friends.. First was Ate Millette.. I asked her if Kuya Rommel was still around and she said he already left for the gym.. Same with Sir Pat.. I asked her why she was still in the office, and she said she still had a lot of stuff to do.. This man checks every single person who leaves Potbelly's. And then glances back again.. Checks if I'm still around.. I tried to call Ate Grace but it was her voicemail that greeted me.. So I tried to call Sir Patrick.. Told him what's happening.. He was already in the train.. He said he'll come back.. Kuya Mel was with him as well..I told them they don't need to because it was inconvenient.. But they insisted.. Told me to just stay because this man might follow me.. I was shaking at that moment.. After a few or so minutes, the man decided to leave. I texted Sir Pat that they don't need to come back coz the guy had left. But they said they'll be coming in a few minutes.. I felt releived when I saw them.. Kuya Mel said I looked "maputla." I was still shaking and my hands were cold.. I said sorry coz they still had to come back and fetch me, but they said it was alright.. They said I made the right decision to call them.. I really did... Thank God For True Friends...
